After careful consideration, we have reached the conclusion that for the
benefit of Soccer RI and the Rhode Island Soccer Association it is necessary to
make immediate and substantial changes to our State Referee Committee and
Program as a whole. While we both continue to stand by our recommendations
last year in support of your Regional Position, we have concluded that the
appointment of a new SRA and SRC is appropriate. It is a difficult decision due to the friendships involved but we remain confident that as the Regional Referee
Coordinator for USYS you will provide the guidance and mentorship necessary for our new State Referee Administrator to be successful. Additionally, we will
obviously need your cooperation in transferring the financial accounts and
corporate information to us so that the appropriate changes can be made with
the RI Secretary of State Corporations Division and the SRC Banking Institution.
We have interviewed numerous referees in Rhode Island regarding the
selection of a new SRA and have concluded the Juan Montalvan is qualified for
the position and we are appointing him to the position as of September 4, 2019.
We need your assistance in making this a seamless transition.
